| If there was one problem that you have all the time, that a new product could solve, what would that problem be? I’m working on a project, and am trying to think of things that we as barrel racers have for a problem often. Could be anything, no matter how small or simple it is. Would love feedback from everyone. Thanks! |

Location: Somewhere up North | I don't have just one so here are a few of mine: 1) Shoe(s) coming off the night before the show 2) Horse not turning or running like he/she has in the past and they can't tell you why 3) Reaching down to get your over-and-under and it ain't there because it fell off somewhere 4) Horse totally destroys a brand new pair of bell boots on the first run 5) Horse forgets to turn the first barrel because he/she is too busy looking at the onlooking crowd 6) Coming out to get your horse tacked for a run and you realize your good buddy decided to decorate the side of your trailer with new teeth marks 6) You carry a full bucket to water your horse only to realize most of it is running down the side of your leg 7) You go to rinse off your horse and he/she steps on the hose and puts a little hole in it that only points to you
Please find a way to fix all of these for me |

| I learned 40 years ago that if you have a problem you can't fix, find someone who can fix it for you. Then the person needs to fix you. Like my trainer told me about 5 years ago, it is a waste of money to have her ride my horse if I am going to ride them improperly. |

Butterflys in your tummy befor you run
I second this! Stressing/worrying/overthinking your run and letting that doubt and anxiety get the best of you. |

Around here everyone is pretty cooperative. Even the little kids apologize if they get in the way. I am talking little like 5-6 years old. They get that Fromm the parents!
There are a couple of nut cases that decide to lunge their horses in the warm up pen. They make sure they have the longest lunge line and get right where they can create the most havoc. Since they are only out there for attention everyone usually stops and let's them have the whole warm up area or relocates. Works pretty well. One of them doesn't even run or exhibition her horse. |

Definitely this. ^^^
Also, when you go to get your over/under and it is tangled around your leg and you are concentrating on getting it untangled so you can use it instead of hustling home. That's really frustrating. |

I got to say, the barrel racing scene around here has awesome warm up pens. Everybody is really, really nice, even when I ride like a drunken sailor just because I don't know the unwritten rules. They answer questions, point out where I don't need to be, help with gates and loading . . .i feel really lucky to be here. |

Are you talking about "health" stuff like colic, or bleeders, lameness, etc or just everyday stuff? |

Location: west of East Texas | 1 - Having to go to the bathroom right before you run. I wish there was a port-a-can in the holding pen. 2 - Dying of thirst after you are on your horse. Can't get down now and walk to the concession stand. Need a drive-through for riders. Only place I've actually seen this was at the Senior race in Halletsville in 2016. Joy Cameron+crew had bottled water in the holding pen, thank you so much!
?LOL, two suggestions going opposite directions.... :) |

100% agree with this. Warm up arenas are horrible. My biggest issue is riders walking with 4 other buddies and blocking ppl. |
