| I would do it if I weighed what they say I should way...at the bottom end of the scale! LMAO!
I'm too fat and my boobs are too big. I catch my bra over the saddle horn on occasion. I'm NOT catching a bikini over it...taped on as well or not! |

| I have actually produced and competed in a few of them. One year we allowed anyone to run, but only those in bikinis were put in a sidepot with added money. I want to say it was around $1,000 added. Also, we have done them where a bikini/bathing suit was manadatory. We know not all will/can/should wear bikinis so as long as it was a bathing suit (one piece, tankini, etc - no board shorts though unless you were male). Again, we added anywhere from $1,000 - $2,500 added plus buckles and prizes. We usually get around 100 runners.
They definately are not for all. We specifically marketed this to our sponsors as a bikini race, so dress code was mandatory. It has always been a good time for all and I would say 85-90% of our local runners would participate. |

Kinda OT but, I've seen this commercial several times when I'm watching rftv, either wpra or racers edge about some sort of super bra that resembles them putting sport boots on the horses then panning to the gal strapping up the bra.. wish I could remember the name of it! Looks like a lot of velcro but I always thought what a bright idea for women with bigger tata's, unfortunately for me, I don't have that issue lol!! |

| I sit on the fence on this one. After so many years of riding English and listening over and over to "dress the part, dress to win, dress to respect yourself and the sport", like I said, I would never personally do it, even if I had the body for it. I can see why people will be bothered by it and I can see why people will be ok with it. I guess to each its own. If you don't like it don't do it, if you do, knock yourself out. I don't think is matter of people lighten up or being less judgmental, it's matter of where you draw the line for what you consider acceptable in a family event or not. Am I making sense? |

I'm sure people would pay to make sure I didn't wear a bikini. They have one here every year. Sometimes it's a sidepot for those in a bikini. One year it was swimsuit mandatory. I was going to buy one of these but I know their goal was to show skin & embarrass people so I'm sure there would have been a fight for me to enter in this.

On the family event part... I get it. I wouldn't bring kids to one, BUT it's not like these races aren't advertised as Bikini Races. You don't show up thinking all is normal only to be smacked in the face by bikini bodies everywhere. Heck I know some are 18+ to be able to get into the stands for that reason. If you know it's not a place you'd like your family to be, then don't go. JMO! |

Yeah, I don't think for 1 second it makes any girl a "ho" for entering a bikini barrel race. If I had the body I had when I was doing figure competitions, I probably still wouldn't do it though, but I sure don't take issue with them or any gals that want to do it. Shefits don't make you feel squished by any means I don't think. I am pretty large, Luxe 1 sizing in their bras, and I have no problem wearing them for an extended period of time and don't feel too restricted or smashed. It's not a uniboob like most sports bras. You can make them as tight as you want or if you want them looser they still support you. If you're having to do two sports bras, you should really try Shefit I think. Definitely one bra would be more comfortable than two in my opinion. |

I’m with all you big busted ladies! Not to take this thread on a whole new rant but.. why do all the good bras have to cost so much? I’m such a cheap skate but a bra over $30 is waaay too much for me!! Sorry to steal the thread but had to put my two cents in. Carry on! |

On a side note I bought a bathing suit this year that is a one piece without a skirt. I have anxiety just thinking about wearing it... Then again, Izzy doesn't care what my suit looks like, as long as I go down the slides and play in the water with her. |

I agree.. it doesn't make you a "ho" for entering one - but let's just say that it just so happens that the local one they have near me yearly has a sterotype of girls that enter and I don't fit in with it There are a lot of girls that enter for the attention and the excitement of getting to dress half naked in front of everyone. NOT all people that enter by any means - just what I know and see at our local one. The men on the other hand, HILARIOUS.
Editted because I suck at spelling tonight.
