I personally had two moments when I couldn't hold back the tears....... when President Trump introduced the parents of the two girls murdered by MS-13 gang members and then the parents of the young man whose life was destroyed while being held prisoner in North Korea. Many other everyday Americans were honored too.
The Democrats? What can you say. Even if you don't like Trump show respect for these people.

As this country being great, yes it is. And it was already great before Trump was ever born and certainly great before Trump was ever elected.

I didn't watch it. But I disagree with this whole rebuttal thing. How did that come into being? The opposing party should not be given a platform to rebut the President. To the victor goes the spoils. The president gives the State of the Union. The losers had their chance to rebut during the elections and the voters disagreed. If the losers want to rebut on the campaign trail then that's fine. But right after the State of the Union is wrong.
It's the media turning the State of the Union into a political match. I suppose the days of the country coming together after the elections to work for the common good are long gone? |

And we are just a small construction company with 15 employees during the slow season. Plus they are starting up their retirement plan again, after not having one for the last seven years. |

I wasn't fact checking. That article was on my home page when I turned on my computer this morning. I didn't even read it.
As for respecting the office of the Presidency, I do. Trump won. He gets to have his days. He's done some good things. It's his right to brag about it.
I especially like his protectionism approach to American industry. Even though his handlers don't want it called protectionism. |

The problem I have with using the "associated Press" as your source for fact checking is that they use opinions to discredit what is being said instead of actual FACTS while also being very trivial.
Examples:
TRUMP: "My administration is committed to fighting the drug epidemic and helping get treatment for those in need."
THE FACTS: The bipartisan National Governors Association doesn't think he's lived up to that commitment.
*This "Fact" is based on opinion
TRUMP: Changes in immigration policies, including more border security, "will also support our response to the terrible crisis of opioid and drug addiction."
THE FACTS: Drugs being brought across borders are only part of the problem contributing to the nation's opioid crisis.
* Again!, Opinion! They can't even give a little credit to the fact that this will help.
TRUMP: "Under the current broken system, a single immigrant can bring in virtually unlimited numbers of distant relatives."
THE FACTS: It's not happening because the waiting list is so long.
*But the Statement is TRUE!!
TRUMP: "Since we passed tax cuts, roughly 3 million workers have already gotten tax cut bonuses — many of them thousands of dollars per worker."
THE FACTS: This appears to be true, but may not be as impressive as it sounds.
*Seriously, they can't even admit when it's true, "Appears" to be true.
That was just a few i picked out. Whats funny is anything that was a hard fact, they avoided to "Fact Check".
Example:
CLAIM: "Unemployment claims have hit a 45-year low. ??"
The U.S. Department of Labor announced earlier this month that unemployment claims dropped to the lowest level since February 1973.
CLAIM: "Black unemployment rate is at a record low"
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last month that the unemployment rate for blacks dropped to 6.8% in December, the lowest since the government began tracking the figure in 1972.
I think we all need to "FACT" check ourselves and not just read stories provided from the media. There is some of what he said that is a stretch and there is some that is a hard fact and success.

He saw a problem like ANWR and he saw how politicians have debated and used it as a political football for over a decade.
He just said, “screw this” and had it buried in the tax bill.
He was frustrated by the feckless GOP over repealing ObamaCare, so he decided to kill it indirectly by eliminating the ObamaCare individual mandate in the tax bill.
A year ago, he was ridiculed and lambasted for his claimthat Trump Tower was wire tapped. Now we know he was right.
His talk about the lying, corrupt, fake news media was very true....we now know this to be fact, with the revelations of Christopher Steele’s feeding his Dossier to liberal news outlets like Yahoo, CNN, NYT, WaPo, and....get this....Mother Jones, an extreme Marxist progressive click bait news source. This circular reporting was used as additional supporting evidence for the FISA warrants, when in fact it was just the same source recycled. The only collusion with Russia was with the Clintons, because the source for Steele’s unproven, salacious Dossier was his shady Russian contacts.
There’s your “collusion”.
Now we see the light of truth being shined on these malignantly partisan corrupt bigwigs in the DOJ and FBI. They are being demoted, retiring, or getting fired. They are dropping like flies.
