I agree 100 percent with the foot work and timing and we are continuously working on that. He is a little bit green and I currently ride him in a chain bit which worked great for a little while but now that we have added a little more speed, I feel like I need just a touch more on the back side of the barrel if that makes sense.

I was going to suggest a chain mouth but since your already using one I would go to a dog bone if your needing a tiny more..
I like "The Duke" bit that Troy F. makes. It's hard to recommend something without knowing your hands or like the horse's style. I have a few knock off's of this bit made by other makers, one by Klu bits has the straighter Duke like shanks but the mouth piece is a 3 piece with squares on the sides and the middle instead of a dog bone is a chain. I'd like to have an Elliot like this but I'm not shelling out the dough for it since I don't currently have the need.
Those are my go tos if they have stepped up outta an o-ring and a kathy james.
