Just got my first order today. It has an interesting smell to it. Pretty strong. I can’t really put it into words. Does yours have a pretty strong smell??? One of my horse is eating it OK but the other said NO! Lol just wondering thanks !! I think if I start really slow they will both take to it but it’s certainly not an instant hit. Thanks !

Mine has a pretty strong smell but both of my guys eat it out of my hand just plain. They would nose around their platinum when I had them on that though.

That’s exactly why I had to switch to exceed. My two were not a fan of platinum. Lol I’m sure they will take to it.

Feel free to let your bag stay open for a day or two - this will not harm the pellets. It's good to let the pellets 'breathe' and get some of the aroma out of there that has been "bottled up" in the packaging. Like stinky high schoolers in a locker room - open the doors and freshen that place up LOL. It is always good to start out in a smaller dosage and work your way up, too.
Likely it tastes fine to them, but the smell has them hesitant. All of mine eat it out of my hand, but one will smell it a couple times before picking it up. She's also the horse that is too smart for her own dang good hahaha.

Thanks all! After speaking to Medvet, they formerly used a sour apple/ ACV flavoring and thats the one I likely received. I'm going to let it air out a few days as recommended. Company has been great to work with, they offered to replace it with the new Funergreek flavoring. I bet thats the one that is more banana smell. As they are now, it almost smells like dirty sweaty feet. LOL I guess you could call it sour apple mixed with ACV. LOL Either way i'm sure they will take to it fine.
