I just watched the interview of the U.S.’s first gold medalist - a 17 year old young man- who won the super slope snowboarding. He gave a really good interview, polite yet still honest and humble. He was such a cutie.
I will make sure to watch him in the Big Air and I just love the Superpipe snowboard competition.
What’s y’all’s favorite?

He is from my home town. My sister went to school with his dad. Pretty neat seeing some one from your home town winning gold half way around the world.

Red now resides in Silverthorne, CO. I grew up in that area. The USA Snowboarding coach graduated a few years ahead of me from the high school up there. The entire county goes to the same high school so it doesn’t matter what town you live in. Thanks to Facebook, I’ve been seeing all the behind the scenes stuff that Pete has been posting. Every Winter Olympics, I now really look forward to it because of the crazy stuff he shares.
