Google equine uveitis Valerie Kirkwood. I can't make a link on my phone. My cousin Valerie has written a very good article on it. Very informative and helpful.
I currently own a horse with this condition, during flare ups we treat with Atropine and Neo/poly/dex, we did have an antibiotic implant put in which has helped to reduce the amount of flare ups, it is my understanding it is something the horse will have its entire life unless the eye become bad enough to remove it
Ditto on you need to go to the vet and get the eye examined preferably to an equine optometrist and they will help you come up with the appropriate regime to aggressively treat this terrible disease. It's not something to mess around with. There's all kinds of causes of ERU so treatment depends on that. You'll need prescription meds. There's no over counter fix when they have a flare.
Feeding omega 3s like fax, bute, msm and keeping a mask on the horse will help as well.
