I'm wanting suggestions on what to feed my coming 2&3 yo's. I try to keep things as basic as possible and don't want to have 6 different things per horse. I usually feed Renew Gold as a general feed for all my horses, and add Platinum for horses I'm hauling/older horses because imo it makes them look really nice. I haven't tried feeding it to younger horses? Any experience with this, and other suggestions. For winter the young ones are getting really nice brome/alfalfa hay and choice loose mineral, but want to add something now that they're gonna get worked more.

All of ours are on 1 scoop/day of Platinum, including our colts. I feel what we visibly see is an indication of internal health. Think about it - malnutrition in humans often shows up first in the hair and nails, maybe just a sickly “look” about a person who’s lacking in a balanced diet. A dull coat is often one of the signs of ulcers or worms for example. I feel that a shiny coat, good hooves, and good quality mane/tail are all signs of a balanced body. That’s not to say you can’t have issues even though a horse outwardly looks good, but Platinum does more than just give them a nice shine.
