I'm surprised they did not learn from the ERA that an association takes time to build and you cannot ride on another's coat tails. Seems the "big names" who promoted the ERA were pretty quick to bail on it when it wasn't an overnight success so I'm not sure why they start a whole new association. Why not just keep working with the one they had.

I don't think they bailed because it wasn't an overnight success. They bailed because the PRCA was able to successfully ban board members from competing at PRCA sanctioned events.

Yes, I believe that was a major factor however wasn't the original intent of the ERA to limit the number of rodeos they wanted to compete in and thus the less time travelling?
