I’m trying out a friends’ Bob marshall to see if I want to change. I have done a lot of looking and I find a lot of info on both Bob Marshall and Tammy Fisher. So which one do you use and why? Pros/cons of either, etc

I am a die Hard original Bob Marshall fan! I do not like Tammy's because I'm way too sucked in and I don't like circle y bobs because of the feet placing's (my legs kept getting behind me) and to me they feel cheap

I use a treeless on my monster midget (14 hand rocket!) and it's an original Bob Marshall. I had a Circle Y Bob with a square skirt and when I found this round skirt original for $600, I decided I could definitely sell the Circle Y, buy the round skirt original, and have a better fitting saddle for my horse with also a better resale value. I was able to sell the Circle Y for $650 and love the round skirt on the tiny horse.
I won't call myself a treeless devotee because I ride treed saddles on every other horse, but the treeless works well for little bitty Fred. My fiance only rides in Bob Marshalls and says my treed saddles feel weird to him. lol. We have a friend with a couple of Tammy Fishers but I haven't ridden in them very much so I can't really say how they compare to a Bob.

A true blue original Bob Marshall sport saddle out of Salem Ky. And why is because I like having the real thing and I can get a custom order any way I like it, they have been around the longest and Bob Marshall designed these saddles. The other brands just dont compare

I have an original Bob that I bought used off facebook. It's the only treeless saddle I've ever used, so I can't speak for any others. But I absolutely LOVE it!! I love that I can throw it on any of my horses and not worry about it pinching or not fitting.  I have the basic strap fenders, which I think I prefer. Gives me a lot more leg room and mobility. (I originally learned to ride english, so that could be why I like that)

I have been wanting to try a treeless saddle, however I have a super ratey horse you have to push all the way past barrels to get him around them, and I was told treeless would not be great for that type of horse cause they can feel your movement more and would not be best for that type of turning style horse...... any one have any experience with this??

Both of mine are push style.  I ride in a JBN.  It truly rides SO much like a treed saddle and I can get up and over it just fine.

I have a free runner and a push style. I run both in my treeless.
I will say it took me and the push style guy 2-3 runs to figure things out but it wasn't bad. And a lot of it was probably from years of running the free runner, I was used to sitting down a stride before the barrel instead of at the barrel.
I have a colt that is going to be a hard turner, and it took us a couple rides for him to adjust to me and the treeless over my husband's rope saddle. He had a LOT of whoa those first several rides, but know he's got me figured out LOL. The close contact is just awesome to me though!!

I ride primarily treeless. I have 2 Circle Y BM right now. I like them a lot. I prefer where the stirrups sit on them because I HATE forward hung stirrups. Your center of gravity (and thus the ability to really stay with one) when riding a horse is with your feet under you - not forward or behind. I have no problems at all with my feet getting behind me. I'm lucky enough to live close to where they make the original sports saddles, and have rode several. I like them too as long as the stirrups are not forward hung, and they are a little more open in the seat than the circle y version. I'm thinking about having one made. One thing people need to understand when trying/buying a bob marshal is that you really need to know what you are trying. Bob customized these saddles so much for people - there are several places the stirrups could be hung and the peak to the area under the pommel (more peaked fit high withered horses well - endurance pommels fit mutton withers better)- depending on what the individual wanted. Therefore, you can ride one BM and love it and ride another and hate it.

I have no experience with the just b natural - but know several people that really like them.

Original Bob Marshall all the way. I have owned a Tammy and the Circle Y Bob. The a used original holds its value and I have had good luck selling them quickly, usually less then a week.

I had a Tammy, the leather quality is horrible and it took me a couple of months to sell it.
