Location: Northwest | First thing I’ll say is that It is hard to do real estate part time. I’ve found it is an all in deal, and if you don’t you won’t be successful. I can only speak from experience, and in my area (small, rural) the market is either hot or it is totally dead. I’m actually considering job hunting for something different. I’ve only been doing it for two years and do love it most of the time. I like the flexibility but I do work, in some form, seven days a week....Whether it is answering phone calls and emails, or showing houses, or being in the office. I actually am a top agent in my area but I just feel like my family would benefit from me having a set schedule. It has been good for a secondary income, however it would be challenging to live my current lifestyle on it alone though.
