Location: Louisiana | How to they compare to other brands? Quality, fit, and comfort. I'm wanting to try a hardseat saddle, and am coming from a treeless so I also want a pretty deep seat. Like many I'm also on a budget LOL.
I saw this today and really like how it looks, it has a 5" cantle, and the price is doable. Any input?

Me three LOL.
I love the whole look of it...it also seems like it has a decent amount of "rise" in the front.
Corriente makes a similar one for $1000, but if this is better a better ride and better quality I don't mind an extra $300..it's just impossible to tell from pictures. |

I wonder who builds these saddles for NRS, it looks better built then a Corriente, I saw that its built here in Texas. Just a pretty cool looking saddle |

I was thinking the leather looked like better quality, but again it's so hard to tell in a picture lol.
Might be an excuse to take a trip to TX |

Thanks guys...even if you haven't rode in one, if you've checked one out up close I'd love to know how the quality seemed on it. |

They had a couple in their set up at South Point in December. To me, they looked nice for what they were priced at. I am not convinced that Corriente's are that well made. If I was going to roll the dice, I'd go with NRS. Plus, I think they have pretty good return policy? You'd have to check. |

I have ridden in one Corriente and didn't like it, BUT it was too small for me so that contributed. I do want to try one in my size. But I'm also afraid that every single day a brand new one is posted for sale on FB.
Luckily, two of my guys are built very similar and anything that fits one SHOULD fit the other.
I didn't even think about checking out the return policy, shipping is probably a lot cheaper than a trip to TX lol. Thanks for the input! |

Thanks!! I'm not expecting $3000 quality at $1300 price, but I am expecting nice leather that will hold up. |

Yes, it's definitely trendy but I love it anyway LOL.
I double checked with customer service, and they assured me if I order it, and it doesn't fit me or the horse I can return for full refund minus shipping. So that's reassuring at least - if I hate it I won't have to try and resell. |

Nope, just bought a used Double J Speedster with the #10 tree today actually.
I only heard good things about the NRS though, a couple people sent me individual messages.
