| My old mare is Honey Come On by Leaving Memories out of a daughter of Timeto Thinkrich. I have to daughters out of her and she is a world champion producer. Memories of Streakin is by Leaving Memories out of a daughter of Streakin Six. She is booked to Keep The Fame (in Brazil). Liquid Hips by This Snow Is Royal out of a daughter of Windy Ryon. Perrys Dimples Dash is by First Prize Perry out of a daughter of First Down Dash--line bred Dash For Cash.
Honey is bred to Sir Seth and will be bred back to him as she requires live cover. The other to mares are booked to Guys Easy Jet.
Seems I forgot to add who the blue hen mares were.
Liquid Hips' grandmother is Florentine.
Perrys Dimples Dash's grandmother on the top is First Prize Dash full sister to First Down Dash. Owned by Wetona Stanley. Her great grandmother on the bottom is Dimples Up. Her offspring are saddle winners.
Memories of Streakin goes back to Easter Eve Bid, multiple ROM producer.
Honey is pretty blue hen herself. Nothing to do with any hen but she is a granddaughter of an All American Futurity winner.

| What qualities does a mare have to have to be a "Blue Hen" broodmare?
What qualities do all great producing mares have?
The Blue Hen is named for the horse breeding term "Blue Hen," meaning a
mare who has proved herself exceptional in producing high quality foals,
almost regardless of which stallion might be the sire. These sons and daughters
would also produce and improve the breed.
The answer varies greatly and is largely dependent on the goals for your individual
program.
Are you raising horses for your kids to run at the local gymkhanas? Then you could
probably get away with anything if you cross it on the right stud.
If you want to raise and sell futurity prospects, you darn sure need to pick carefully.
Among the industry’s leading breeders the criteria is fairly standard— pedigree,
conformation, proven performance or production and a disposition to go along
with it. The age and history of the mare also affects which of the aforementioned
factors are most important.
Pedigree isn’t just about fashionable bloodlines. It’s a road map with indepth
breeding that can give clues to performance, especially when researching the
produce records of the dams and finding proven crosses. Stacking as many
bloodlines of successful families to increase the genetic pool and the desired
characteristics of your event is a most do situation.
Keeping up with the successful families will also require a breeder to come back
to a certain family and line breed his future babies to enhance that family or
bloodline and increase the likelihood of stamping that baby with all the good
characteristics of that super successful family or stallion's bloodlines.
“I like a good bottom side. I think 60 percent or more of the baby is going to
be from the mama. You’re beating your head against the wall if you take a
common mare and go to Frenchmans Guy or Dash Ta Fame, thinking you’re
really going to get a big-time runner.
You have got to have that mama with a solid pedigree of like families of horses.
That’s pretty elementary to most people, but occasionally I see a horse in a
sale that’s by Dash Ta Fame out of a mare who has no bottom side at all.
Then they scratch their head and wonder why they didn’t get their stud fee
back. So I want a good mama with a good pedigree in her, then match that
mare to a stud and cross that way.
This is an example of indepth breeding and stacking the bloodlines of currently
well known barrel horse sires // families and specialized speed lines ...
If you look at the top 5 runners at the 2017 NFR, the 2018 American Rodeo and
Diamonds N Dirt ... you will see the following stacked long term pedigree
is right on track on making some one famous ..

| One of my mares is due mid April. She is bred to multiple Graded Stakes winner Lunarpal.
I had so much trouble with the stallion owner that my other mare is bred to that I am not even going to say what horse. She is due in mid May.
Third mare was not bred since stallion owner continued to neglect to get semen in the shipments. Just really hard to get them bred by immaculate conception.
That means no babies till next month. |

Third mare is Reckless Lucy, 2001 daughter of Reckless Dash out of a super producing daughter of Bugs Alive in 75, Leavem Lucille. Reckless Lucy is already a 1D producer with her first foal, 2014 filly by First Down French. She was a PRCA rodeo winner and had a 1D/2D record at big shows with 400+ entries.
Fourth mare is Ole Rare Hope, daughter of Rare Bar out of a daughter of The Ole Man. She was a solid 1D mare in her day, NBHA TX State 1D champion, LTE $30,000+. She is due any day to Vanila Viper.
Who did you bred the Lucy mare to this year? Gotta love any BA 75 mare!
I bred her to Shawne Bug Leo on March 10, OVed March 11! Checking her on the 25th. His semen looked great, so if she doesn't take it's on me LOL.

We have 14 current broodmares and 4 more in the pipeline to be future goodies. Takes a while when you raise them. We have rarely added a broodmares from outside, that DFP mare, we have a Cash Not Credit and a TB daughter of Clever Trick and those were our only outside additions. |
