Looking for opinions on the Teskey's barrel saddles. I need to buy something that I can return if it doesn't fit him. I see tons of saddles on FB, Ebay, etc, but obviously with no return policy. I don't know if all their new saddles are custom, or if they have ones I can try, then send back if they don't fit? I'm frustrated. I just don't have the money to buy a saddle and have it not fit, then try to sell it. It says they have a 10 day return period. I'm looking for a saddle with a very deep seat, under $2k.

They have a 10 day return policy. They have a brand new tree out and it's awesome. I sat in it this weekend and it really puts you where you need to be.

They have demo saddles as well.

ETA They don't have even half their barrel saddle inventory online. Call him and he can help you. The man knows how to fit a saddle.

I have one I got about 10 years ago, still looks pretty new & is in great condition. It's fit everything I've put it on except the 2 horses I have now which have ridiculous hulk shoulders & withers. A wide LM Double J barely fits them. However it's fit everything else really well and it's comfortable to ride in. Mine has cowhide seat & even with it being a little more slick than other materials my butt stays in.

I had one that was gorgous.  Sadly it came from the factory with a crooked tree.  I sent it back to Jeff and he had it fixed.  Came back with another crooked tree.  I sold it to hopefully someone with a crooked horse.

You could also check out NRS...they have a few saddles that look to have a deep seat under your budget.
They also have a refund policy, I plan on ordering one from them soon and hoping it works on my two "easier" horses to fit.

Thank you all! I called and talked to Jeff and explained my situation. I sent him a bunch of pictures, and he said he will see what he has for saddles that might work for us. I am not opposed to used, and I don't mind paying the shipping to try one to see if it fits versus buying one on Facebook and I can't return it.

I bought a saddle from Tesky’s , a Martin I think-can’t remember.  It did not fit my horse and I had no problems returning it, just had to pay to ship it back to them.

I have a Tesky's.  I didn't realize until typing this that it's 10 years old.  Dang...  time flies.  I think it's gorgeous.  Still my favorite 'look'.  It has fit a variety of horses, the fit being approved by local vets, Dr. Honnas, and several chiropractors when I was having trouble with horses over the years.  The saddle has always passed the test.   It's a strong, well balanced, well made saddle.  The ONLY complaint I have about it is.. it may be TOO well made.  That sucker is heavy!  Compared to my daughters' saddles - Todd Sloan, Lynn McKenzie, old Masters - I grunt when I saddle.

Any chance you could post a picture of it? Thanks!

I love my Teskey's - but I agree - it's heavy.
