 Has anyone ever heard of injecting gold bead the the ball of the hoof to help with navicular pain? If so, what results have you had with it? TIA

i know some acupuncturists use gold beads externally but not internally. To me, especially if it’s a Vet doing it, it would be borderline malpractice.

Bottom line, no way am I letting a vet put a foreign body (even if it’s gold) I to my horse’s hoof capsule. I don’t see any way the horse’s body would not reject it. Gold beads on Ting Points (they’re available with adhesive backs) couldn’t hurt but nothing invasive.
