I am searching for a saddle that is under $500 yet is still a quality buy. Is this realistic? I honestly can't afford anything over that as I am saving for college and another horse. And is buying a used saddle being stupid? The saddle I have now is a beast and I am looking for a barrel saddle that doesn't break my back or the bank. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thats absolutly doable!! you just have to look hard, the deals are out there. Ive never gotten a new saddle just up until this year but that was only because we won it. All my other saddles have been used and i love them! already broken in and comfy (: i found a used Circle Y the Proven, and traded a girl my billy cook for it. You could also look into Corrientes, They are really nice quality for a reasonable price. Im sure you could find one within your budget!
I just saw this one and thought it was great saddle for that price. I think it is much smarter to buy an older well-made, used one than the new, cheaply built saddles that are out there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/barrelsaddlesnewandusedforsale/?multi_permalinks=1311865168913319¬if_id=1522698733219916¬if_t=group_activity&ref=notif
