Does anyone have experience with successful rehab from tendon sheath injuries? My mare tore her manica flexora (wraps around the DDF in the fetlock area, under the assumption it is just a tendon sheath, not a major ligament). She fell on concrete 2 months ago and I had no idea she injured herself...she won 2 ranch sorting checks 2 weeks ago but wouldn't fire when I hauled to a jackpot. She's a 2/10 lame RH (I suck at seeing lameness in the rear). Ultrasound revealed the tear. Vet injected the tendon sheath and I was recommended 2 months off with 10 minutes a day of walking, then slow rehab. Hopefully it will heal on its own, otherwise will have to go in and remove scar tissue. I feel like I should be doing more to help this thing heal right?? Opinions on Aquatred when the rehab process starts?

My gelding is in training again (finally) after a carpal hygroma. Which is fluid build up in the sheath. He is coming along great! We have been hauling to exhibition a couple of times, and no heat, swelling or lameness =] He was actually never lame on it though. He had an 8 month layoff, and was brought back very slowly. Doing very well now =]
