If you had to choose one therapy to do regularly for your horse what would it be? Farm calls are expensive and to do all of them for 3 horses is just not realistic at times. Monthly massage, chiropractic work, or therapy blankets only.

Chiro work, I have a great chriopractic for my horses when I need him and once he gets them done I hardly have any issues afterwards. Butch is number one in my books. Edit to add, I dont get a farm charge..

Massage. Unhealthy muscle tissue is what allows joints to be pulled out of alignment. The chiro is forcing the issue so to speak. The adjustment is not going to last long until the muscle is relaxed and allows the bones to fall back into position.

This.
When we had a massage therapist scheduled for every 6 weeks we had very few issues.

I would choose walking trail rides over any expensive "therepy". Through the years, walking has helped my horses more than anything. All the vets and others I have worked with, all said do more walking.

Chiro if needed.
I’ve gotten some of the masterson method DVD’s and want to get some of the other material to learn more for massage - I’ve felt it’s very helpful, but been able to pick up quite a bit of technique on my own. I’ve also found it to be great bonding time with a horse.

Yep, yep.
But MOST people don't have massage therapists in their area it seems. Seems chiro is the go-to because that's all they have. My other favorite would be the Myo-fascial release (Animal Krackers) methods.
