I’d like to know more about this curious sounding diagnosis.
How was it diagnosed? Where, exactly was it located?
By that, I mean, did it appear on the surface next to the anus?
How was it treated?
Has anyone had a horse diagnosed with a Rectal Lymph Node Abscess?
I haven't, but I sent you a PM with the info for someone else that dealt with a nasty rectal abscess in their gelding a couple years ago. Maybe she can offer some tips.

I don't know if this is the same thing or not, but I had a mare with a rectal lymph node so enlarged that it making it difficult to pass manure. I thought she was colicking, vet palpated and found the issue. Turns out my mare had pneumonia which caused the enlargement. Treated the pneumonia and never had another issue with the lymph node.
