Do you SEE and SENSE Him as a "personal " Lord? Or, far off, and removed, a creator and sustainer of all there is? You CAN KNOW Him in the INTIMACY of Father and child. " Deuteronomy 6:4-5 Hear,O Israel; " The Lord our God, the Lord IS ONE! You shall love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, and with ALL your strength. The Lord Jesus referred to this, the FIRST instruction Moses gave the Lord's people, as a commandment. It is neither an option nor a suggestion. This commandment is DIRECTED to people who KNOW Christ in a personal way; it is the Lord YOUR God. The emphasis here is ON LOVING the One Who firsted loved us and Who GAVE His Son to die on the cross as PAYMENT for our sins. So we are to LOVE this gracious and generous God with ALL our heart, not merely giving our love lip service. We are to LOVE God with our entire mind; a heart FULL of love is NO excuse for an empty mind. As we love God WITH ALL our strength and soul as well, we are to hold NOTHING back when we love God.
Lord, YOU ARE my Lord! In Jesus' name
Father God, guide me today to do ALL things that will bring GLORY AND HONOR TO YOU AMEN
