Location: Arkansas | Just wanted to give the good Lord thanks: Chan seined up fish yesterday. The plant wanted a load, around 25000 pounds. When he called me yesterday after the fish were socked, he said the seiner thought about 20000 after they graded. I was happy for that, but I sure had hoped for the full load. C sent me a text at 6:15 am---they loaded out 25000 pounds!!!! That's a God thing right there, answered prayers. And I give Him the credit and thanks for it. Chandler sure needed that sale.
And Lula Bell graduates with her nursing degree next Friday!!! So we are a thankful family right now. Counting our blessings for sure. She plans to take her RN test (i guess that's what it's called!!) the 14th I think.
Just wanted to do a "good news" post |

| So glad to hear the good news. And I just love Lula Bell’s name. It makes me think of the old Disney Princesses - the good ones! |

Don't know that she loves it as much as us! She has many monikers---but I'm sure Laurie and Baby Girl are her faves since those are C's pet names for her. (Eye roll here. . . ) When he wants a milkshake or ice cream, he'll say "Lauurrie"---and she knows exactly what he wants

| It's funny because my sisters name is Laurie ... my father, whom Jacob is named after, and God rest his soul, he use to call her Lulu bell! Even made a silly t shirt with that name on it. I always think of that when you write about her on here :-) |

I don't know what came up on Google---he has catfish ponds and they sein (big net) the whole 20 acre pond and then allow them to grade (smaller fish go thru the net) overnight. They wanted roughly 1 3/4 lb fish this time so they used 1 7/8 inch sein. They load out early am and (poor ole!) fish head off on truck to plant in MS.
We farmed about 400 acres at the height of the catfish boom, and it was tough. We tried to talk Chan out of this, but I think it's in his blood---it's all he's ever wanted to do, put his first pond in when he was in the 10th grade. So I truly appreciate all of the kind words and encouragement when I post about his fish. It means so much. |

What a neat connection---and what are the odds?!! Lula Bell was my name for her----I have no idea where it came from. Ill have to let her know she's not the only Laura/Laurie/Lula Bell out there!
