Which do you prefer? Why? And what style of horse do you run with either of them? How do each compare in sitting you? What style of rider does either fit? TIA!

I had a Crown C and really liked it because it made my legs hang correctly, but I retired the horses I used it on and got a cutting reject. I felt like I was swimming in the seat and it just wouldn't hold me in for her harder turning style. I also found I did not feel as secure on my big colt as just a small move would move me off balance (just powerful enough). I switched to the FX3 last year. At first I really did not like it, but I had a demo so I rode it for about two weeks and once I figured out how it actually works I loved it. Even if my little mare sets hard and sets me forward, the way the pommels wrap around you still feel like you are secure and I can also sit back deep on the big colt to help him turn and feel secure. I ended up buying a 2nd FX3 so I have one for each and sold the Crown C. I am also in Montana and if you are ever at a CSR race or Cottonwood you are welcome to try it. Martin sent me the demo and you can usually ride it a week at least.
I have very short legs so I feel the FX3 fits a short person better.
