Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Well...I started the Biomane at the end of December on my average maned/tailed Arab gelding. I followed all of the recommendations...use the brush and tail bag, and braided the mane religiously. I won't bother posting the before and progress photos because honestly...It's not all that dramatic.
What I did notice is that after the first couple of months the texture of the mane and tail was softer and there was indeed growth. But I couldn't decide if that was anything above the normal growth you would get from careful mane and tail care. Prior to using the product I combed out his mane/tail pretty regularly but didn't bag it or braid it.
After 4 solid months of feeding it...well...It may have added thickness and some length...but nothing amazing. And how much of that is just from the special care I was taking with his mane and tail? I'd need to do that alone to compare.
Here the summers hare sweaty, hot, and bug infested. Trying to keep things braided and neat isn't happening as they swish and roll and rub. Despite any fly control methods known to man. So...I'll try just braiding etc next winter and see how much growth we get.
Just my experience...YMMV |

| I have heard thats a good sign! If a horse has everything it needs nutrition wise, you won't see the huge dramatic results. Horses that are malnourished tend to thrive ?!? |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I've been feeding it too for the last 4 months and never seen a change in the tail growth, I feed it to 3 horses I keep up, one always has a tail that drags and have to trim it so offten and one that dont grow much tail at all, always right below his hocks and another has a medium decent tail and have not seem much differents in them myself..But they got really super nice hair/coats my one gelding sheded out super fast this spring and hes the one I had on the biomane first and started the others after him so maybe thats a plus |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I fed BioMane for three months. My mare shed out long before the other horses, did have noticeably more thickness, maybe a bit more growth in her forelock. Didn’t notice anything different with her tail. I was really impressed initially... but after the three months was up, I decided it wasn’t worth the cost. I noticed better growth with MTG. |

| I split a 3 month bucket between two horses. I took before and after pics and there is no difference in either of them. |

| I also started feeding it in January, and have noticed very little change. Was hoping for much better results and once again, was disappointed. Has anyone ever tried coconut oil instead? Do you put it on their manes and in the tail or do you top dress it as a feed? |

Location: Northern CA | I had a gelding that was on Biomane for several months when he was with a trainer. I brought him home, dropped the Biomane and started him on Plantinum. That was in November, I have since had to trim his tail 3 times as it was to the ground each time. I will always opt PP over Biomane, not only were the results significantly different but I like the total health supplement of PP, not just coat and hoof, too me it is just more bang for the your buck. |

I tryed it for grins since I have been hearing great reviews on here from some BB's, so I thought I would try it on my one gelding that dont grow much tail it's been right at the top of his hock since I got him and thats been 4 years now, I think its grown maybe a inch since I have had him so its a bit past his hock now, lol.. No improvment on the growth part, had my other gelding on it the same time as the short tail one and hes always has a awesome tail, but I like the way he sheded out faster along with the short tail gelding they look great, now my other gelding that I was not feeding it to keep his ugly winter hair longer, so I'm going to keep them on it threw the summer to see if it might help them from getting faded from the summer sun here. What the heck worth a try, but no longer tails for sure on my end, lol.. |

Location: Illinois | For hair growth I had much better results from just using coconut oil. However since starting BioMane I had to move my farrier from 8 weeks to 6 weeks, but he didn't notice any change in the quality of their hooves. Just that they grow faster, which isn't convenient since the one's not on it need to go 8 weeks. After my supply is up I'll stop feeding it. My one gelding still has a decent thick coat that he's holding, it's in the high 80s here and he's black. SO it didn't help him shed faster. I'll just go back to using coconut oil. |

Location: Royal J Performance Horses, AZ | I put my ASOF daughter on it because a colt she was turned out with chewed her tail to the bone and her mane to only a few inches in length....
She was on it Feb through part of March took off it for a bit. and then put back on from the first week or april till now. Her tail is below her hocks and her mane is shoulder length now. I'll see if I can find a picture of her.

Location: Royal J Performance Horses, AZ | To me personally, that is a significant amount of growth in just 2 to 3 months of being on it.
NOW like someone above said I LOVE PLATINUM PERFORMANCE. I had ALL my working horses on it a few years ago. Once this filly is done at the trainers and i get her going. That is more than likely what she is going to go on. because the BM and PP are close in price... I might as well buy an over all supplement. PLUS as i said I LOVED the results i saw with PP and will ALWAYS highly recommend to people or horses i believe it would benefit..
BUT that being said do I like BIOMANE and would recommend to someone looking specifically for mane and tail growth? Absolutely
If it ever goes on sale again like it did for black friday when i bought it then heck yeah i might just get some more. but until then PP it is once this is gone

| Dumb question, but do you feed the coconut oil or put it in their mane and tail? If you feed it, how much do you feed? Thanks! |

I don't feed it, I just saturate their manes & tails with it. Once a week with hair I'm trying to grow, every 2 weeks if I'm just trying to keep it conditioned. Then keep the mane braided, coconut oil will keep my braids in for a month with little breakage if I leave them that long. I usually do that in winter |

I get mine at the local grocery store, by the cooking oils. Just make sure its virgin & unrefined. The one I get is about $7 a jar but for 3 horses I typically only need to buy 2 jars a year. A little bit goes a very long way |
