Thank you! It was the bottom of the ground. We just had his hocks and stifles injected because he blew the 3rd barrel three races in a row. Anyway, I'm super excited, that race had 205 runners. He ran a 17.1 with that 3rd barrel and the winner ran a 16.8!

ETA: that horse is right under 17 hands and my husband and another trainer told me he was too big to be a 1d horse. Sent him to Lindsey Mcleod (shes riding him in the video) and he's been clocking 1d/2d times!!

I agree, tiny step off first. To me (not an expert LOL) the third looks like you could come in tighter and he would come around it like he did the first and second.
But nice horse and nice run overall!!

the question is how much was the fries you picked up when you swung by the concession stand near the thrid barrel? no really that horse looks like she can move and can afford the real estate better than many others LOL. I hope you post a video after that third is cleaned up! Love your horse

For every foot its about a tenth(1/10) of a second or so. If you are 5 feet away from your ideal spot thats half a second. 10 feet, 1 second and so on. Seems to work out when I review my runs and the old tanner timer system they used to have. Hope that helps.
