I don't always have access to cold hose so I do ice boots. But don't get the expensive ones, cheap ones will do. I always do liniment once they are dry. If they have to be stalled for a weekend I try to get them out as much as possible to walk.

Walk until breathing normally. I ice legs afterwards. I have the cheap ice pack sheets you find in the camping section at Walmart and I use standing wraps to secure them, remove after 20 minutes.

98% of the time - I'll walk out of the arena, step off, loosen saddle, walk back up into the alley and take off all of his boots. He gets treats while hes stading there too. I believe that's what keeps my horse working so well...he literally will do anything for his favorite treat

Otherwise - if I cant get back into the arena, at a rodeo or some place, I'll walk up to the panels and take his boots of there. I usually hose him down afterwards if I have access to a hose as well.

What liniment do you like?

I've used them all I fee like. Really like DRAWitOUT. So much so I became a dealer.

No mess, no odor, no color, no fuss, no burn, no blister. It works.

Walk til she's breathing normally, get her to stretch by enticing her with cookies, cold hose.
