Location: Where its HOT | Anyone ever get weird emails from someone when posting a saddle, or other tack for sale on here? I got an email with interest, and when I said it was still available, the response back to me is like what I would get if I posted it on Craigslist...she will Send a check... Arrange pick up... Etc etc... I'm obviously not going to reply, but have never had that experience with this site and have listed multiple items. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | It happens daily on multiple sites. You can do a quick search of the forums and see many threads with specific wording that is being used, numbers, etc to get an idea of what a scam email sounds like if you get bored or curious. But, most of the time you can usually tell pretty quickly that it's a scam LOL |

I get at least two or three daily from Ranch World Ads and they're all mostly worded the same. But it's worth it. I love Ranch World Ads, it's where I get most of my repeat customers from. |

| I posted a saddle on here and got tons of them. I noticed they write "ok" a lot where it wasn't appropriate in the conversation, and then say they will send someone to pick the saddle up after I give my information. Just be careful. I also found Paypal was a good way to collect payment.

| Which is exactly why I have a thread asking best places to consign a saddle. Not only do you get all the scam/spam but they now have your email address to use as they see fit in their spoofing and who knows what. I know you need to have separate emails for selling stuff v/s personal but still, its your email. And then there are the legitimate sounding ones that will "buy" the saddle then complain to paypal that you didn't send what was advertised etc. Now you've got to battle it out with paypal to keep your money. It's everyone's horror stories that have me not wanting to try selling myself. |

Paypal will ask for photos of the saddle from the person who disputed that you didn't send what was advertised. As long as your saddle matches your advertised photos you're good. I always send additional photos in messages so that I can prove they saw additional photos before sending. Paypal has always sided with me the two times this has happened. I use PayPal invoicing daily and have people who have tried to dispute for many reasons that weren't truthful. I always send in proof of conversation, tracking, product condition, PayPal address only is used unless I have a message stating it was okay to ship elsewhere, etc and I've never lost a dispute. I love paypal.
