Anyone know good places to consign a barrel saddle? Tried Cool Horse and Teskeys they say saddle isn’t desirable so too hard to sell. Saddle is a a custom Cactus, fully tooled with ostrich in lay seat (never used) - everyone is saying not what buyers are wanting? Maybe they’re right. Don’t want the hassle and fraud risks of selling it myself.

Do you have any local feed stores that may consign for you? D&D here in Seguin will take saddle's on consignment, but they dont sell very fast,  most of the used saddles are so over priced people will just buy a new one thats out on the floor. I would just put a ad up, should sell fast if not over priced.

The problem with consignment is by the time you get the money you want and the shop gets their 10-20% the saddle is overpriced and no one is interested.

Scams are pretty easy to see through. I’ve sold a lot on FB and CL, but had the best luck just hauling it with me to races and setting it out with a sign on it.
