Location: WI | Does anyone else find that the Omnis hay cubes are dusty? When I pour them into their bucket, it always makes me cough. 2 of my horses are now coughing. They won't touch them with water on them. Are other brands better? |

| I fed Omni and Mustang Sally cubes, but they were dusty and my last 2 bags got some mold or something on them - green dusty stuff, so I had to go back to Standlee cubes and honestly, they are eating them much better. They had got so they would leave some of the cubes and my horses NEVER leave feed in their tubs. The only other option was the Standlee cubes or Hay Rite and the HayRite cubes I bought were harder than the Standlee. I just break up the Standlee cubes and the horses eat them better than the Omni/Mustang Sally cubes. I just wish the cubes were smaller and softer. No change in condition for my horses either. They are still shiny and fat. |

Location: LouLouVille, OK | I have never had a dust problem... now there are some cubes that are broken up and that "dust" is in there, is that what you are talking about? or true dirt dust? cause I have never had dirt dust in my cubes, in my baled hay yes.. from time to time... edit... i do spray my cubes, but I wouldn't feed any cube without spraying even when these don't really need it... I just don't trust them not to choke... nope nope nope...

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I had a batch of moldy omnis too and returned them. Apparently Danco had an issue with the place making them. The 2 batches I’ve bought since then have been fine. I’ve never seen a bag of cubes or a bale of compressed hay that didn’t have some leaf shatter, regardless of brand. That’s probably the dust you see. I feed in tubs so their faces aren’t down in it like a bucket. |

Location: CTX | There was an issue with the Danco machines a while back. Think it had to do with them not getting hot enough to dry the alfalfa, but that has been solved. I've gotten 2 batches of cubes since and no problem. I have fed other brands, and found bailing twine in them also, even if the cubes are made in the field you can't keep debri from getting in it.
