| I had to change my plans for my trip to Oregon. The fairgrounds in Grants Pass where I was supposed to stay has a possible coggins outbreak. SO they are locking the place down. I think I am diverting to Central point Instead. LOL Just an FYI for anyone that might be traveling that direction. |

Its a EIA {Swamp Fever} scare I heard, I'm wondering if a horse was hauled in showing signs of Swamp fever? |

Not sure, I just know its the type that if your horse gets it, they have to be destroyed and Body burned. The Notice that went out to all state vets says EIA/Coggins on it. |

Yep its the same, Coggins is the name of the Vet that started the testing for Swamp fever so Coggins and EIA/Swamp fever is the same.. I asked my Vet the other day if any out breaks in the last few years he was telling me about the scare in Oregon going on. We had a few tested postive in the Rio Granda Valley 20 plus years ago, One down the road at a boarding stable tested postive.. Scary stuff and I stay far away when I heard the word coggins or Swamp fever. |
