| Just read that Justify’s stud fee is 150,000 for the first year and he is booked full to 250 mares his first year. The 500k he cost is chump change. Since all thorobreds have to be bred live cover , he is going to be busy and tired!! |

WOW, I have a hard time believing that any stud could live cover 250 mares in one season. |

| METALLIC CAT
A 14.1 CUTTING STALLION STANDS FOR $15,000
AND IS LIMITED TO 200 MARES ..
this legitimately includes CS …
THAT IS $3 MILLION IN BREEDING FEES

STORM CAT TB stood for $500,000
Great TB sire no AQHA allowed
Lyle Lovette and Vessels did froze semen after he died to
a super FDD mare … total failure as a runner
Sons of Storm Cat crossed on qh mares failed also ..
Storm cat had slow plodder muscle reflexes ..
qh need fast reflex muscling to get at speed in 2 strides
This is the reason very few TB stallions are good crossovers
with qh mares … Beduino was the last one …

I have agree, there has to be some "rule breaking" pertaining to getting that many mares bred live cover. Even if each mare is only allowed one cover, that is still A LOT for one stud. |
