| John 8:11 " Go and sin NO more." Imagine Jesus, saying, " I am the way the truth and the life." NO one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6. Our modern culture is screaming that everyone's truth claims, values, ifestyles, and the like should be considered equal. These screamers often cite Jesus' words to the woman takin in adulter; " Neither do I condemn you. John 8:11 what a statement of tolerance. Yet, and this is often conveniently ignored in the same breath Jesus added, ' Go and sin no more." Jesus was not offering a suggestion. It's imperative mood and present tense indicated that our Lord forcefully said, " STOP your sinning right now!" STOP IT! When you come to a stoplight or stop sign today, think on this' it is one thing to hear God say, " I DO NOT condemn you" but let the stop sign remind you that He completes the sentence, Go and sin NO MORE! Lord, convict me today of that about which You are saying to me, Go and sin no more. IN Jesus Name AMEN  |
