I'm looking into moving to far southwest missouri. South of Joplin. There is a great job opportunity for me there, but I don't know much about the area. My husband and I both team rope and I barrel race. What is there for those events in that area? There is another potential job in Tulsa and it looks like there is a lot there, but the job isn't as appealing.
I live more East Central Missouri but there are alot of events in that part of the state and you won't be far from the Oklahoma line where you'll be able to attend even more. I think you'll have alot of choices, Arkansas as well won't be too much of a haul.
Lucky J Arena and Steak House, Carthage, MO has barrel races every Wednesday night and ropes every Monday and Friday night in the winter time. They also have outdoor barrel races in the summer and some team roping. There is also a barrel racing assoc. that holds barrel races around the area in the summer time. Many more places but those are the couple off the top of my head.

I'm from STL area, but I think there's a lot going on in SW MO. Depending if you're willing to travel a bit, there's some races in Rolla from time to time. Not sure on ground bc I've never been there. There's also a nice indoor in South central mo. I can't for the life of me think of the name of it though.

I live south of joplin. There are a lot of races in SW MO, SE KS, NE OK, and NW AR that are a short drive. Lucky j, freedom arena, Marchant’s, flying cow, and others are where a lot of races are.
