Isn't that pretty much what we already have with the 4D system?

In a way, but say a horse ran 1D in the futurity but was out of the money vs a 2D horse that always lands in the money. It seems we measure in terms of $$ earned rather than a specific index unless you are willing to search for results online or pull an equistat. It would make it simpler once we implement betting into a race. Anybody want in on that side of the industry??

The Tanner Time system did assign a speed index but it was not recognized anywhere and the only way you got any information was to pay for it. People realized that a speed index wasn't really very important.
