I run a small car shop and a customer that was at a local campground had a flat tire and ordered some wetlake trsiler tires 10.ply tires like the side of his trailer says for his camper. I installed them. He did not make it 10.miles and the sidewall blew out i sent my guys to chsnge tire and he limped back to.my shop and when he pulled in to my business the second tire vlew. I ordered him 4 tires and replaced with a brand i knew was good. I told him he needed heavier tires baswd on weight he said he had 10 ply on when he bought trailer so i could not talk him into heavier tires. But those westlake are china tires. But on etrailer they say they are american tire and review are generally good. Do not buy the sidewalls are soft.anytime the trailer will not make 10 mile the tires are awlful. Never have seen a tire split like that on 3 tires only 2 went flst.

How old were the tires .... many online and discount tire places sell very old tires. They are "new" but have been sitting for years in warehouses and on the racks at dealers. Additionally, it was not loo long ago that there was a BIG recall on Westlake tires .....

This why I will not run ST tires on my horse trailer or even my flat bed trailer. The quality is just terriable in ST tires. It is because they are not affraid of being sued when one blows out. Now if you have an LT tire on your SUV and it blows out and kills your kid. Guess how many lawyers will take the case against them for a junk product. A 235/85-16R in a LT is a far better tire than a ST 235/85-16R. Just follow the liability.
