| Torn Superficial Digital Flexor Tendon. Was given Nitrofurazone + DMSO with caution to how my horse might react. He was very clearly agitated so we stopped. It is fully wrapped and heavy splinted. Can someone spell out a safe way to poultice with something else? What product and exactly how to apply it safely for underneath a wrap (changed out daily). I just dont want to add any issues to what we are already dealing with. THANK YOU! |

Location: MN | Numotizine! It stinks but works SO well. Apply a nice coating, wet some news paper, wrap around the coated area, pillow wraps on top, then polo wrap. |

| Can Runner's Relief be put on the same way? Can I put it on and leave it for 24 hours before changing out the wrap? It's quite the process and that is what we were going to do with the DMSO, but I am just not comfortable with it. I can't see changing it every 12 hours |

The tub says: coat with poultice, wrap with pillow wrap, wrap with saran wrap then standing wrap to secure (or polo). Leave on 12 hours, wash off, leave off 12 hours, then reapply. |

We've always used saran wrap too. Poultice, wet brown bag, saran wrap, then pillow and standing wraps. |

| Thanks for the help! I watched a couple youtube videos and I feel super comfortable applying a poultice now with standing wraps. However - We are in a splint and that won't work. He has to be wrapped from ground to knee. so I use cast padding, cotton and vet wrap. Can I put the poultice and wet paper underneath all that just fine? |

Location: Southern Indiana | Instead of using wet paper, I always just wet my wraps. Then saran wrap & a bandage. So yes you should be able to just wet your padding and then wrap. I like finish line poultice, but any of these are good. |
