If the women confessed there may not be a trial instead a sentencing hearing. My guess is she confessed to avoid capital murder charges. FYI murderer...the prison in Oklahoma may be tougher than the death penalty and you deserve the hell coming your way.

| Many prayers to his family and friends. I had the pleasure of competing against him at the Heartland tour barrel races and was always amazed at how honest his horses were and how soft his hands were, even with a hot horse. He was always very nice the few opportunities I had to speak with him. |

Location: Ky | I didn't really know Add but I had met him a few times. Know nothing about his personal life. Good or bad. As for a cowboy, he was terrific. I always kept an eye on him as he was pretty much the biggest guy riding against the smaller hands.
Myself being bigger than most of my competitors I had a built in admiration for Add. He didn't weigh a lot more than many of them but he was taller than anyone I remember. At 6'3" I towered over most of the barrel racers. I'm not much taller than Add was. He was around 6'.
He didn't let his height get the horse off balance. That's an art in itself. I'm sure his family and friends are suffering a terrible personal loss.
The barrel horse industry lost a giant. |

Seeing that so many people cared about him has meant a lot to us. If any of yall have facebook, I have started a page where we can all share memories and pictures. First off, let me say that y'all have been amazing to our family during this tragic time in our lives and we can't thank y'all enough for that. But we need some help from y'all... I have tried to do everything I can from 16 hours away and keeping up with everything back in Oklahoma, but there is a lot I am limited to. Over the last 6 months I have worked endlessly on every possible aspect of Waddell being taking away from us. Hearing stories of how his possessions have been sold for next to nothing, "certain" people having things in their possession, and seeing his things being sold on for sale and wanted sites on facebook has seriously been heartbreaking. I know that we will not get a lot of things back, but this is my attempt to recover something/anything... The Sheriff's Dept. did recover a good bit of trophy saddles and some tack. We have what they recovered, some things that were left in his home, his truck, and (empty)horse trailer. If you have purchased, know someone who has purchased, or know where something is please, please, please let me know. I'm not here to call anyone out, or start any trouble. We just want his belongings and will buy it back if need be. Some of the things that are still "missing" are... his necklace with a ring on it, wallet, all of his riding saddles, trophy saddles, all most all of his horse tack, and cowboy hats just to name a few... His home was completely ransacked, and everything he has worked his whole life was gone. We don't know many people in Oklahoma nor in the Horse World so all I can do at this point is ask for help... This thread was no place to voice your "political" opinions. It was a very cruel thing to do. This had nothing to do with the gun violence and the why to it. She was asking for any help getting his stuff back. It was heartless to turn it into what you did.
If you want to debate guns and "whack jobs"... you should have posted back to me on "whack jobs" and what guns really are and what you posted as to what you thought they were on the other thread as to what is off limits on BHW. This is the second time I've asked you to respond when you have done political 'hit jobs' on other threads. We could do another new thread regarding guns and "whack jobs" or you could actually answer me on the other. However, this thread was not the place to discuss it.

I would love nothing more than delete the insensitive words posted on this thread.... how ever it has been quoted a dozen times... so removing it is not an option at this point. Dont let one bad apple spoil your day at bhw... keep supporting Add's family who are facing very trying times in a period of grief over his senseless loss. Keep posting your great advice and topics that are pertinant. The best way to have mecons words drop away is to never engage them.
Apparently, the SECOND post by Mecon wasn't insensitive enough .... because it is STILL there ..... and it hasn't been quoted !!!! |

Location: South Carolina | Yes Mecon, I agree... This whack job obtained the gun, that she so selfishly place at the back of Waddells head and pulled the trigger taking his life, by stealing it. She is a felon in which could not purchase a firearm. We lost a huge part of our lives, a man that would give you the shirt off of his back, to a monster that used a weapon against him at his weakest moment. The gun might be what in reality took his life, but it was the person with it in her hand who made the choice to pull the trigger. Thank you for your concern in our situation. |

Location: torrington, wy | I am so sorry this post turned into such a mess. I hope and pray you will get ALL of his possesions back. I don't think anyone knows what you are actually going through. In some ways I do, but, since our murder or murders have never been caught, I can't begin to understand how the trial will be for you. I do know this woman is not mental she is just plain Evil and I pray every night Add and his family will get Justice. May God Bless & help quide you through all that has happened and about to happen to your family.
