July in iowa is known for air you can drink. I like to give AirPower before we run to open them up. I’ve been experimenting with how far out from a run I give it. I’d been giving it maybe 30-45 minutes out. A couple friends at a rodeo were giving it 4-5 horses before their run this weekand, so I bumped it up last night and probably gave it 15 min out (because I forgot there was an act, but I was 2nd out and panicked lol!). We did have a really nice run, shaved some time off what we’ve been running off the leaders and ended up just out of the money.

I plan on doing the same tonight or maybe even a little closer to go time. Just wondering what everyone else was doing?

I dont use Air Power but use a similar product, Wind Aid. I give it about 15 minutes out as well.

I give the Air Power when I get on before I make my run, typically 20 minutes before I run.

I use wind aid now, but used Air Power in the past. I always give it when I get ready to go warm up. So 15-30 min out. And I can tell a big difference when I give it versus when I don't. So I try to give it every run.
