My husband is planning on it - mostly so he can haul grain for local farmers and side income.
I may, we are trying to determine if in Iowa I can take the test in our dually and horse trailer and not carry an air brake endorsement, or if I have to take it in a full semi rig...I’ll be honest we’ve been so busy I haven’t given it much thought or made many phone calls on the topic.
Sucks big time you’re getting pulled over for it! I heard of a string of “busts” in Minnesota as well - but just hearsay through gossip.

Ive had my commercial license for about 10 years. Just because that rule has been on the books forever and just incase they decided to enforce it...........Its pretty easy if you have someone to teach you how to drive a big truck. You can study and get the permit easy. Then I learned to drive no different that a big trailer....IMHO then I did pay a truck school on how to do the oral about the breaks and all that. Honestly its not that hard.....and If I ever need another job everyone is hiring.............lol
