Romans 3:10-12. There is none righteous..NO , NOT ONE.
There is non who seeks after God. They have ALL turned aside, there is NONE who does good, NO not one.
The prophet Isaiah preached this gospel truth well:" ALL we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, everyone , to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniqty of us all" Isaiah 53:6
Every sin you ever committed, every bad thing you have done and every good thing you chose not to do, Christ TOOK on His own body and suffered the punishment you deserved. He took on YOUR sin, so you CAN TAKE ON His RIGHTEOUSNESS. He died YOUR death, so you CAN LIVE HIS LIFE. He took on Himself the wrath of God you deserved. As Paul put it, " If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and BELIEVE IN your heart ,that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9
WRATH, is another of those lost words in order Christian vocabulary. God is a God of love, but the same Bible says,He is also a God of wrath. And His wrath AGAINST your sin was poured out on Christ Jesus, IN YOUR PLACE, as He hung on the cross.
Lord, how You suffered. A simply THANK YOU seems so inadequate in light of Your receiving the wrath for sin I so deserved. Guide my Lord to do ALL things that will bring GLORY AND HONOR TO YOU . AMEN
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
