If a horse has scratches, then suddenly develops a similar bumpy/hair loss issue in the tail, and goes off on the front feet, what would be anyone's guess?
We have been flooded this year. Record breaking rain since April. My feeling and idea is a fungal infection (that's what scratches are) that has gone systemic.
Owner of horse is trying to blame everything else, testing for everything metabolic, and coming up negative.
