| Omelene 200 is about the worst thing you can give a horse. 40 percent sugar!!! It’s an ulcer/hot mess waiting to happen. |

| I’m switching one of my horses to Dynasport right now.
Another is on Triple Crown balancer.
Yearling is on Ultium Growth.
All get high quality timothy and alfalfa. |

My yearling has done wonderfully on the Ultium Growth!! I’d say it’s worth a try! |

| I like Ultium, it’s my go to for a harder keeper or one that needs weight.
We feed ours Strategy, the new formula also has Outlast in it, which I was top dressing on a couple anyway.
We also supplement Platinum Performance. We noticed a huge bloom in them when we started that with Ultium, we decided to switch to Strategy and see what they did - $8-$10/bag difference and feeding 8-9 head between us and my in laws. Everyone maintained condition and performance when we made the swap. |

Lucedale, MS-
We have to drive at least 3 hours round trip for our feed, so I understand not having a big selection to choose from! We're considering changing to Blue Bonnet if the opportunity pans out. Right now we feed Purina. |

Purina Sr Active for my 23 year old and also our harder keeper Paint. The other 2 get Strategy Healthy Edge. They are all on Platinum CJ, and the Paint is on Forco and rice bran. |

I know nothing about it, but the people who have answered you on this thread totally know their stuff, so listen to their advice!! Our horses are more pleasure, and they are just holding down the pasture right now, so the true barrel racers will lead you down the right path. Good luck finding a good feed in your area |

| I have been using Tractor Supply's DuMOR brand feed for the past year. I like the fiber and fat levels, plus the ease of buying it. Feed products in this industry are as fickle as so many of the other fly by night products/treatments. The legit products stay around, most go by the wayside. Time will tell if this is one of those products. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/dumor-equistages-equine-fe...

| I decided to put my $$$'s on great hay instead of processed feeds a few years ago. Even the Montana alfalfa is cheaper per pound (110# bales / $42.00 = .38 per #) than the better bagged feeds (50# / $24.00 = .48 per pound) and is twice as effective as the bagged feed with no sugar/starch issues to worry about. My guys are happier and healthier now than ever. Better feet, better feed manners, longer eating periods, more energy but better attention spans, better coats, all around better. Timothy is my second hay - about 10 pounds of each timothy and alfalfa a day is what I aim for. |

Location: never in the right place | if there is a TSC nearby try Total Equine. I have been feeding it for about 2 years and really like it. Just check with the store to see how much of it they carry, here in my local store they don't have much but I have a friend that is a dealer so I have no problem getting it. |

They make medicated cattle feed, too. We buy the medicated cattle feed from them. They don’t have a separate mill for horse feed. I won’t buy horse feed from them because of that. |

| Check chewy.com and amazon for feed. I am limited too and was buying some off of there before I started my own feed.. I will never feed from a feed company that also makes medicated feed it takes a little research to be sure. I just looked at Cavalor at an event some ingredients are not what I like but they have a lot of options . I try to keep good hay and I make my own feed now . I also like crypto aero, modesto milling makes one also that looks good. |

That's what I was concerned about. I knew they did cattle feed, but didn't know if they did seperate facilities. Thanks for the info! |

All of the above have been tremendous at certain times in my feed program.
Any of the above posters who have suggested a feed are knowledgable. Listen to them. |
