Just starting riding a new horse. The only saddle I have has semi-qh bars. Fit my last horse just fine. This horse is built like a tank and an elephant cross. His back is wide and he has very low withers. The saddle left dry spots right on each side of his withers. I have a 5-star pad and I think it's 3/4".
I think I remember someone mentioning a tool to measure the back, and then the company can recommend saddle makers/brands that'll fit best. Or does anyone know of the best type of saddle for a horse with this kind of back?

Circle Y Flex2 in the WIDE. My Red looks like that and it fits him like a glove. Used to be called Lisa Lockhart (she moved to Martin), so now they call it “badlands “. Kelly Kaminski line has it too.
Just bought a regular for my other horse and I love love it! But he’s built differently so the wide was too wide for him.
