Does anyone ever pack their horses feet at a rodeo that has hard ground? If so how do you do it and what do you use?

We have used the equi-pak gel before if we are going to be running a lot on rocky ground and it seems to help but it doesn't last long. I'm not sure if it would help for hard ground or not though.

Nope I don’t! I’ll use iodine or this stuff from hawthorn products to harden their feet up

I've been told to spray starting fluid on their soles if you know you'll be on hard ground. That's from the old school farrier who used to train & shoe on the track.
