Can anyone provide some insight on things to try to get my mare to snap around first? I'm pretty sure it's all in the approach, but not sure on what to change. I hope this link works...

You’re slicing the top because you are setting up the turn too soon. She’s committed to the turn 3 strides before the barrel. On that first pivot, you are right next to the barrel. You should roughly be 8’ from the barrel on that point with a gradual tightening down to 2’ on that last pivot when you leave. You have it opposite. You’re 2’ going in and 8’ leaving so you are losing time since she can’t push out of the departure until you are 2 strides out of the barrel.
