I need to buy a waterer for one horse stall. I have 4 other horses that share a big stainless trough. I don’t need one that is heated... are they all pretty much the same? Can’t afford $400 for Ritchie...thank you!

For a stall, what about this...

That's what I have seen and used before.

My thoughts. Save your money until you can afford the best otherwise you'll have nothing but issues.

My ex husband was the regional rep for Ritchie here and I learned a lot about them. Unless other ones have advanced, I'd never buy anything but Ritchie.

Hell, that waterer was the best thing he bright to the marriage!

We have a total of 5 mirafounts on the property between horse runs and cattle pastures. The oldest have been in for 4 or 5 years and the newest for 2. All have electrical run to them for heat, but you don’t have to buy the heater unit.

Granted, we haven’t had them for decades, but we’ve had zero issues for what it’s worth.

This.  We have two Mirafounts that we installed in 1996.  The only thing to wear out on them is the rubber plug.  We do put a tank heater in them when it gets into the teens.
