I noticed a bit of mold on some pieces of my tack in my big tack compartment lately. I know vinegar and water with sun for the tack ( if there is a better way, please tell me!)
How do you keep your tack from molding in your tack compartment? Never dealt with this before I moved. Crack a window or leave it closed up? Add something to help absorb and keep the moisture level down?? I dealt with mold a few years ago when i went to a weekend show and it did nothing but rain and continued when i got home. This is a new trailer and had a huge side walk in tack compartment. I leave the door window open and I used the tack and trailer every day but its been rainy and dew sets in the mornings we dont have rain.

I’d try getting a bucket of damp rid to soak up the humidity, but if it’s prone to mold then you may need to find an alternative space to store your equipment that has better airflow.

Chandler's Mom - 2018-10-14 2:02 PM There was a thread on this not too long ago with good info. . . Bumped it up for you
Thank you, Chandler's Mom! I just read it. I had posted the same question on a different outlet and ordered DampRid. I got them in the mail from Amazon just today so ill be testing it out starting tomorrow in both trailers. I did also spray it all down with Thieves spray and set it out in the sun all day before the front hit today. If this works, ill post with an update :)
