Location: Texas | My four year old filly has been out from May-October, diagnosed with bone edema in her front feet. It has been a long road of recovery and at times I was pretty discouraged, but she was able to make her second run back on Saturday and she feels like she hasn't missed a beat! She ended up 2nd in the 1D out of 130ish horses. Being a lefty, her first barrel is her left turn and her left front foot was the main foot affected, so I was a nervous wreck thinking about her having to make that turn with her foot.
I had all these big plans to futurity her all summer and fall but now I am just happy to have the opportunity to run her again. We will pick another goal :P.
