| Please share your updates of your futurity horses from the weekend?
Anyone planning to hit a weekday jackpot?
Lets here about those 3 yr olds!
I sold mine to pay for mine for next years colts and the little girl is gonna hold her for a 5 yr old because of school interference. I'm glad they have a plan and are gonna give her the best shot next year tho!
I saw Rylee Shields had an amazing weekend on their Frenchman Guy x DTF colt by winning second at the qualifier and Kassie had a colt place very good in the open at the Lucky Dog as well!
Anyone else have some Dec 1st stories to share?
It's gonna be the last December 1st ever since the BFA is moving to Nov so lets celebrate it well and send it out with a bang!

| I watched more rain fall and decorated the first 140 cookies. Then baked the next 170.
I have no horsie Dec 1 stuff tho. Maybe in two years. Any horse who has earned the barn name "Demon" as a yearling probably has a good chance at being a futurity horse, right??
ETA - I guess I could update my last show of the season --
I made five clean runs and won five checks at the NBHA Coastal Show last weekend! Plus, while I was there a lady walked up to me and held and envelope out to me asking if this was me. Yep, that's me. Seems I didn't pick up a check from a NC show earlier in the year. So 6 checks brought home. Love and I went from 4D to 2D, which for my second show on her means to me that we will end up where I hope. She is going into shoes next weekend and then it will be game on for 2019!!

Honor Thy Sun is yours?
Looked great both goes! The ground at Bob's can be shifty and your colt handed it well! |

People that have been here a while may remember when I aquired his mama---she is a DFP daughter and out of a daughter of JOH. Yeah, he was scratching a little at the ground but overall I was pretty pleased for the first time going to town.

Location: Duvall, WA | After three years of blood sweat and tears with mine, I, like a dummy, cut my head early Sat. so couldn't run her. Now all the local races are getting cancelled because of an Equine flu virus outbreak. Ugg. And the weather is starting to freeze so without an indoor I can't ride as much. I'm so disappointed. But it will be fun to watch the BFA on the internet. NOT! :(

Oh no!! Bless your heart!
Blood, Sweat, Tears, Worry, and hours of wet saddle blankets go into these babies! You'll have the rest of the year tho and hopefully be back ready for the west coast futurity that are coming up at the first of the year. Hope you heal quick! Maybe the extra time off is all in God's plan to have yours rested and ready! |

Mine came up sick, so we scratched her. |

Thanks. It isn't that big a deal, not like we have a bunch of futurities to run at up here in WA, I was just looking forward to finally entering after all these years of work with this little pistol. I kinda think she is going to take some seasoning so I was just really ready to get started. Oh well, I'm sure there are others out there with bigger disappointments than a stupid bump on the head, I just saw the opportunity to whine and jumped on it. . . |
