I remember when she was first introducing them here in Seguin at a barrel race many years ago and I think it was a G-Force barrel race that Gail Shanahan use to put on befor Gail passed away. I was thinking what a darn good ideal having a barrel that stayed up when hit.

I would not make a "Run" with them...... I have seen probably the worse barrel racing wreck of all time. Was not the Fault of the pop up barrels, just one of those weird things. Gal kind of it the barrel going into it, then as it popped up the draw string went over her toe and the horse drug the barrel with her on and it got pretty ugly.
