"Heck's Coming With Me"

Location: Kansas | I just found this on the internet and it was shocking. Mason Lowe, 25-year-old professional bull rider and member of the PBR, died of injuries sustained in his event at the Denver rodeo Tuesday evening. There were no particulars as to how he died but anybody who is a fan of bull riding knows the risks these guys take. Mason Lowe caught my eye at many PBR events because of the similarity of his riding style to J.B. Mauney.
This is heartbreaking. Condolences to his family.

| The similarities between his death and Lane Frost are Erie. Both 25 years old among other things |

Location: Kansas | Thanks for the pictures SouthTexas. It's always nice to put a face with a name. I remembered him well as a very handsome guy and always down to business at the PBR events. |

| Terrible news. I read the bull stepped on his chest with both back feet, he got up but collapsed after a few steps. Prayers for his wife and family. |

May I ask who your son is?
We watch the PBR every time it comes on, and this is just heartbreaking for Mason's family, the PBR family, and the fans. Many prayers for his family and friends. . . |

Location: Oklahoma | My husband said the same thing about Lane Frost as we were watching a video on facebook about Mason. He said another bull riding movie in the making to add to Lane Frost's.
it really is very heartbreaking for his family. But honestly, none of us get out alive so there is something to be said to die doing what you love and be remembered for that very thing. It is still very sad though.

| They said in the press conference yesterday that he had on the required vest. But the bull stepped on his chest when he bucked off and injured his heart. He was pronounced dead at the ER. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I’m actually amazed that this doesn’t happen more often, when you consider that an average bull weighs about a ton, and you have most of that concentrated on a few square inches, all coming down forcefully on a heart and aorta that are only protected by some comparatively weak bones. Those vests won’t help against a direct blow like that. His heart and aorta was crushed between a sledge hammer and his spine. One or both were ruptured. It’s just a sad reality of the risks of the sport. Even those helmets are no guarantee against a direct hit. |
